Life in the South is rich with traditions and experiences unlike anything else in America. While we Southerners share in the diversity and unity that helps make America great, there is much about us that remains an enigma to the rest of the country. Within these pages, I take a sometimes humorous and irreverent look at our culture and traditions through my stories of growing up and living in the South.

If you select “Follow” at the bottom right of the screen, I will send you an email each week when I post a new column.  Unsubscribing is even easier and I never share your email address with anyone.

Y’all come back now, ya’ hear?

  1. Hello,

I was wondering if you accept guest post for your blog. If you do, I would like to submit a few. I’m a recent college graduate, with an English major, looking to build out my portfolio. I can write on a wide variety of topics and am sure you would be happy with the quality. Please email me back if you are interested. Thank you for your time.

    • Hi:
Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. I’ve been so busy I have not had time to post my own stories. Send me a sample of what you think would be appropriate for my Southern lifestyle blog and I will give it serious consideration.

I’m always happy to help another writer.
